Responsibilities
- Enter data for Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGDs) into the system accurately and promptly.
- Send booking confirmations to shippers once shipments are approved in the system.
- Communicate with shippers to obtain any necessary paperwork
- Escalate complex issues to the relevant supervisor, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Perform other tasks as required by management, showing flexibility and adaptability.
- Use Microsoft Excel and Word to organize files and perform calculations.
- Utilize email correspondence and scanning skills to manage and distribute documents.
- Proficiency in data entry, including the ability to accurately input large volumes of data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for the creation and editing of documents and spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with email correspondence, including sending, receiving, and organizing emails.
- Ability to organize files efficiently, ensuring that all data is stored in an easy-to-access manner.
- Experience with scanning documents, ensuring they are correctly digitized and stored.
- Proficiency in typing, ensuring quick and accurate data entry.
- Ability to perform calculations accurately, ensuring the correct processing of import/export data.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task effectively.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
