Director of Accounting Projects

We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting Projects to lead and optimize accounting processes within our organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive efficiency, scalability, and automation while maintaining a hands-on approach to address challenges and implement solutions effectively. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, this position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on financial operations and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the optimization and implementation of BlackLine software to enhance accounting processes.
• Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
• Develop and execute scalable solutions for process automation and efficiency.
• Manage cross-functional accounting projects, collaborating with various departments to achieve organizational goals.
• Conduct financial statement audits and ensure timely reporting.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address operational challenges.
• Provide expert guidance on GAAP accounting principles and best practices.
• Utilize a consulting mindset to tackle complex financial issues and deliver impactful results.
• Mentor and guide team members to support their growth and development.
• Ensure all accounting processes align with regulatory and compliance requirements.

• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including leadership roles.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.

• Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting standards and financial reporting.

• Proven experience with month-end close processes and financial audits.

• Proficiency in BlackLine software and process optimization.

• Background in a Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent consulting experience.

• Strong project management skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.

• Ability to develop scalable solutions and implement process automation.
