Payroll Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Laconia, New Hampshire. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing for a large workforce, including handling complex calculations for overtime and shift differentials. This position requires a strong commitment to precision and familiarity with electronic payroll systems.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately process bi-monthly payroll for over 200 employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Utilize Paylocity software to manage electronic timesheets and related payroll tasks.
• Calculate and allocate overtime hours and shift differentials in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure payroll data is correctly integrated with HR and accounting systems.
• Monitor payroll processes for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Prepare reports and summaries related to payroll activities for management review.
• Assist in audits and reviews of payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Proven experience processing payroll for a workforce of 100-500 employees.
• Proficiency in using Paylocity or similar electronic payroll systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, including overtime and shift differential calculations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
