My client is looking for a Director of Finance to join their team, which is in the non-profit industry. This opportunity will be in the heart of Washington, DC and the role will be operated on a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate for the Director of Finance role will have non-profit experience and be responsible for the handling of federal grants, maintaining the general ledger accounts, supervising a staff accountant, reviewing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable, assisting with month end close, posting journal entries and assisting with other ad hoc projects. Daily responsibilities of the Director of Finance include:
- Perform month-end close.
- Handle the federal grants.
- General ledger maintenance.
- Review and reconcile AP and AR accounts.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Research and maintaining compliance US GAAP.
The ideal Director of Finance we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:
- 7 years of accounting experience.
- Understanding of US GAAP and federal grants.
- Non-profit experience.
- CPA, required.
