Position OverviewAs part of a growing firm in the asset management industry, the candidate will have a diverse set of responsibilities within the finance and accounting areas. The candidate will work directly with various teams, including Operations, Treasury, and Investor Relations. The candidate will report to the Controller and Director of Accounting. Candidate will be responsible for fund accounting and reporting. This company is growing their presence in the Chicago area. Role will report to Director of AccountingPrimary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for a set of funds that includes recording transactions in the GL, reconciling cash and positions dailyWork in various bank accounts that includes cash movements between entitiesPreparing quarterly/annual financial statementsPreparing capital call and distribution noticesMaintaining and updating various schedules relating to the portfolio and fund performance metrics quarterly/annualAssisting in process improvements and implementationsPreparing adhoc reportsPreparing quarterly/annual regulatory filingsPreparing capital account statementsWorking in the investor portalAssisting with the annual auditsMust be proficient in excel
