Inventory Clerk

Description

We are in search of an Inventory Clerk in the Hawthorne, California, 90250, United States. The role primarily involves assisting with packaging and sorting packages for shipping in a fast-paced environment. This job offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with packing and sorting packages for shipping in an efficient manner
• Utilize packaging equipment to safely and securely prepare items for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient operation
• Demonstrate a keen eye for detail to ensure correct items are packaged and shipped
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during work hours
• Assist in tracking inventory and maintaining accurate records
• Ensure all packages are correctly marked and tagged for shipping
• Provide support in the stock room/mail room as required
• Participate in team meetings and trainings to understand business requirements and workflows
• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to shipping and inventory when necessary.
  
  

Requirements

• The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Proven experience in the role of an Inventory Clerk or a similar position is required.
• Proficiency in using Packaging Equipment is essential.
• The candidate must have strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
• Knowledge of inventory management software would be a plus.
• The candidate should have strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial for this role.
• The candidate must be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work are required.
• The candidate should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is essential.
• The candidate should have strong computer skills, particularly in data entry and data analysis.
• Experience in record-keeping and managing inventory databases is desirable.
• Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds is required.
