Responsibilities
- Assist with packing and sorting packages for shipping in an efficient manner
- Utilize packaging equipment to safely and securely prepare items for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient operation
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail to ensure correct items are packaged and shipped
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during work hours
- Assist in tracking inventory and maintaining accurate records
- Ensure all packages are correctly marked and tagged for shipping
- Provide support in the stock room/mail room as required
- Participate in team meetings and trainings to understand business requirements and workflows
- Address and resolve customer inquiries related to shipping and inventory when necessary.
- The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Proven experience in the role of an Inventory Clerk or a similar position is required.
- Proficiency in using Packaging Equipment is essential.
- The candidate must have strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
- Knowledge of inventory management software would be a plus.
- The candidate should have strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial for this role.
- The candidate must be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work are required.
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations is essential.
- The candidate should have strong computer skills, particularly in data entry and data analysis.
- Experience in record-keeping and managing inventory databases is desirable.
- Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds is required.
