In need of a Java Developer, Robert Half wants to hear from you if have a strong understanding of software and applications programming and industry requirements and will enjoy formulating and defining systems scope and objectives. Using research and fact-finding, you will recommend developments and modifications for applications or databases.
Your responsibilities in this role
- Analyzes user requests for systems changes or improvements. Documents functional requirements and assesses cost, feasibility and utility. Develops recommendation as to how, when or whether to proceed with making the changes
- Builds and maintains dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst
- Collaborates on establishing communication materials for specific system changes being implemented in production
- Assesses processing systems. Builds improvement recommendations
- Provides end users and other partner groups with continuing training and assistance for a specific application, system or process
- Evaluates and records problems. Collaborates with other programmers to fix issues with code
- Assists internal clients with applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems. Provides consultation that can include troubleshooting and/or education
- Create and test programming changes for every systems development phase prior to implementation. Write test cases and expected outcomes. Review results and verify that requirements are met. May develop simple tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May recommend acceptance/rejection if requirements are not all me
Requirements
- Effective project management skills
- Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements
- Proficiency in PC and mainframe hardware/software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Programming language knowledge required
- Microsoft Access experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of production
- Proficiency in Framework
- Practical knowledge of Engineering
- Command of planning
- Experience with business analysis
- General familiarity with implementation
- Earlier work involving Cloud Technologies
- Good understanding of Integration
- Adeptness in Leadership Skills
- Design experience highly desired
- REST API experience desired
- Quality experience
- Methodology experience required
- Java experience highly valued
- Comprehension of Agile project management
- Background working with Methods
- Spring framework experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with Interpersonal Skills
- Prior experience with Storage
- Previous experience working with Collaboration
