Compensation: $21.00 to $27.00 hourly
A Medical Billing Collections Company in Los Angeles is seeking a strong Medical Biller/Collector. In this role, the Medical Biller/Collector will be responsible for reviewing facility charges, collecting on commercial HMO,PPO, Managed Care, Medi-Cal and Medicare claims. The Medical Biller/Collector will be tasked with analyzing contracts, calculated reimbursements and submitting appeals/denials.
As a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist, your main responsibilities are:
- Accurately process all inpatient and outpatient claims to all payers
- Processing contractual adjustments
- Verifying benefits and eligibility through insurance
- Performing all required duties within the patient accounting systems
