Robert Half is assisting a Milwaukee area manufacturing organization in the recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 1 years of multi-state payroll processing experience and some familiarity with payroll taxes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting, verifying, and processing hours worked by employees using our timekeeping system.
- Compute wages owed and deductions to be taken based on relevant legislation and company policies.
- Administer employee benefit programs such as retirement plans, insurances, and vacation accruals.
- Prepare and distribute employee paychecks or electronic transfers.
- Respond to employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
- Create regular reports to update management on any payroll issues.
- Keep track of any changes in rates of pay or any new employees for payroll purposes.
- Maintain comprehensive and updated employee records.
- Work closely with the human resources department and attend to any other payroll-related tasks.
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience with payroll administration.
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Payroll tax experience highly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
