We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Research Attorney to join a growing team in Walnut Creek, California. In this role, you will be tasked with drafting legal documents, managing discovery processes, and conducting thorough legal research. This position is primarily based in the office and does not generally entail court appearances, deposition work, or interaction with defendants' counsel.
Responsibilities :
- Drafting and reviewing complaints, briefs, and other legal documents with accuracy and efficiency
- Conducting comprehensive legal research to support case development
- Managing all aspects of the discovery process in litigation
- Utilizing civil litigation skills to enhance case progress
- Drafting motions and pleadings to support case strategy
- Working on class action litigation cases
- Ensuring all litigation activities comply with internal and legal regulations
- Maintaining detail-oriented interaction within the legal team
- Ensuring superior performance in all tasks to contribute towards a discretionary year-end bonus
- Tracking progress of cases and making appropriate updates and adjustments as needed.
- Possession of a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar
- Proven experience in Civil Litigation
- Demonstrable ability to draft motions and pleadings
- Experience in drafting and filing complaints
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive legal research
- Familiarity with the discovery process in litigation
- Experience in Class Action Litigation is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High degree of detail orientation and integrity
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
