We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a tax professional with strong federal tax experience in a large corporate environment, coupled with a deep understanding of ASC 740 tax provision reporting. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring tax compliance, supporting quarterly and annual tax provision processes, and driving continuous improvements in our tax operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal income tax returns and supporting workpapers for consolidated corporate entities
- Assist with the quarterly and annual tax provision process under ASC 740, including calculations, journal entries, and reporting
- Analyze and document tax positions and coordinate with external advisors on complex tax matters
- Support IRS and state tax audits, inquiries, and notices as needed
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including accounting, FP&A, and legal to ensure accurate tax treatment and compliance
- Participate in process improvements and system enhancements within the tax function
- Monitor changes in federal tax legislation and assess the impact on the company
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MST preferred
- 4 years of relevant tax experience in a large corporate tax department and/or Big 4/public accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of federal income tax and corporate tax provision (ASC 740)
- Experience with tax provision software (e.g., OneSource Tax Provision, CorpTax, or similar)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
