We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Reston, Virginia. Being a part of our construction contractor industry, you'll play a crucial role in handling the full cycle of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties. Responsibilities:• Execute account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of financial records.• Manage and update the general ledger regularly.• Prepare journal entries and ensure they are accurately recorded in the financial system.• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured.• Operate property management software such as Yardi and MRI for efficient accounting processes.• Handle Cam Reconciliation to ensure accurate allocation of common area maintenance costs.
