We are partnering with a manufacturing client within the Capital Region in search of an experienced Sr. Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting and financial duties including invoicing, managing cash flow, preparing journal entries, month-end close activities, and more. What You'll Be Responsible For
- Handle invoicing tasks with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring appropriate GL code for invoices
- Oversee and manage daily/weekly cash flow within the organization
- Prepare and record journal entries as part of the company's accounting practices
- Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, and lead collection efforts, to ensure all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with company policies.
- Research and advise on sales tax questions in all states and reconcile monthly sales tax
- Process corporate credit card transactions.
- Maintain fixed assets excel spreadsheets and conduct month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of financial reports and statements
- Support the CFO and accounting team in various accounting and financial tasks
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all accounting and financial functions.
