Responsibilities
- Manage reservation requests to fulfill customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Utilize decision making skills to find hotel options that fit client guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients and hotels to ensure consistency with policies.
- Provide high-quality reservations and options to clients.
- Perform complex negotiations, overcoming limited buying power, limited availability scenarios, and reduced turnaround time.
- Identify trends and opportunities for client savings and potential market consolidation.
- Secure rates, discounts, and RFPs with current and new hotel partners.
- Exhibit knowledge of the hotel industry and regional markets associated with clients.
- Reserve rooms that are consistent with client guidelines in relation to per diem, amenities, mileage parameters, authorized requestor parameters, and hotel preferences.
- Identify and resolve client and hotel issues on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with Account Management teams and Long-Term Solutions to ensure network consolidation for our clients.
- Attend all scheduled trainings, meetings, or other events as assigned.
- Responsible for all other duties assigned as needed.
- Proven track record in the hospitality industry, preferably in a senior customer service role
- Exceptional skills in contract negotiation, with the ability to negotiate pricing and terms effectively
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relations, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership skills when necessary
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant computer applications
- Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or on holidays if required
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism and adhering to company policies and procedures
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
- Ability to handle customer complaints and escalations in a calm and efficient manner
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
