Staff Accountant

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the non-profit industry, based in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will primarily focus on managing client assistance accounts payable, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing prompt responses to client inquiries. This role also involves collaborating with various teams to ensure smooth financial operations.Responsibilities:• Oversee client assistance accounts payable for Supportive Services for Veterans and Families (SSVF) to ensure accurate and timely payments• Step in as a backup for handling client assistance accounts payable for HEN• Manage the disbursement of checks, ensuring payments are processed correctly prior to distribution• Handle stop payments and check voids requests when necessary• Manage reissue of payments or cancellation of invoices as required• Investigate and resolve issues related to returned checks and rejected invoices• Maintain open communication with Case Managers and Program Staff regarding invoice status and urgent check pickup schedules• Work in collaboration with the Grant Accounting team to process, code, and allocate complex utility bills• Assist the Accounts Payable Manager with special report generation, invoicing, and custom financial information requests• Handle analytical tasks and report preparation tasks assigned by the Regional Finance Director.The pay range for this position is $29.15/hr to $32.43/hr.Benefits:Medical/Dental/VisionLife Insurance and Long Term DisabilityCCS/CHS 403(b) employee saving plan15 days PTO13 paid holidays 1 personal holiday
