Classification: Staff Accountant
Compensation: $55000.00 to $65000.00 yearly
Our client, a GROWING manufacturing company is seeking a staff accountant. Our client offers a great work/life balance, strong compensation package and top notch benefits!
Duties/Responsibilities:
-Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations and ensures accuracy in financial reporting.
-Performs month-end and year-end closings functions while meeting company deadlines.
-Prepares and enters business unit journal entries. (Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly)
-Preparation of business activity reports. Provides data and support for Forecasts, and annual budgets.
-Run financial reports out of ERP, Update Month end close files timely and accurately, help ensure that the reported results comply policies and GAAP.
-Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the Semester 1 and annual external audits.
-Assist/lead year end Physical Inventories.
-Assist/provide backup to AP/AR functions.
-Respond to ledger questions from Corporate Headquarters.
-Performs cost related duties (inventory management, rolling standards, reviewing variance reports to ensure accurate product costing).
-Prepare yearly 1099’s accurately and timely.
-Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
-3 Years related accounting experience required, preferably in manufacturing
-Advanced Microsoft Excel
-Previous ERP experience required
