Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide expert advice on tax laws and regulations to clients, helping them understand their tax obligations and potential deductions.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective strategies for managing tax liabilities.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address their queries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge in daily operations.
- Assist senior team members with complex tax cases as needed.
- Conduct basic bookkeeping tasks as required, ensuring accurate financial records are kept.
- Work diligently to meet deadlines, particularly during busy tax seasons.
- Liaise with tax agencies and authorities on behalf of clients when necessary.
- Demonstrate dependability and trustworthiness in handling sensitive financial information.
- Possess a minimum of five years of experience in tax preparation
- Demonstrable skills in tax preparation
- Proven expertise in basic bookkeeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in using tax preparation software and applications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferable
- Ability to stay updated with changing tax laws and regulations.
