Example of Duties
Employee in this position will provide Postpartum/Newborn Home visit assessments. This position requires substantial specialized nursing skills to assess the physical, emotional and socioeconomic status of the family and use the assessment to guide interventions and/or referrals. This position requires 60 home visits per month, average of 3 visits per work day. Must be a self-motivated nurse with time management skills. Applicant must have excellent communication skills to work with the residents of Robeson County and coordinate referrals from Southeastern Health.
Education and Experience
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. Degree in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and one year of Public Health Nursing experience; or Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience including one year of Public Health Nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the N.C. Board of Nursing.
