GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Maintenance Technician, under the direction of the Corporate Facilities Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all sites owned or operated by Robeson Health Care Corporation. This will include serving as the Maintenance Technician in all aspects of physical buildings and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent;
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a plus
- Preferred minimum of 5 years of generalized experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, construction, painting, hand tool use, etc.
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Must have a valid North Carolina driver's license, with less than 3 points on driving record.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Perform other necessary duties as required by the Robeson Health Care Corporation to meet the goal of providing high quality primary health care services.
- Assist to coordinate, as directed, the activities of contractors (if applicable) and works with the Corporate Facilities Manager for day-to-day operation of all properties owned and/or operated by RHCC.
- Responsible for maintaining the operation of all electrical, plumbing, and hardware installation for RHCC facilities including proper disposal of equipment, when applicable.
- Responsible for performing the maintenance of all facilities and facility grounds. This includes keeping the grounds at the facilities such as planting beds; fertilize and trim shrubs and trees; performs weed abatement; mows lawns and edging. May also include power washing building and facilities as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining lawn equipment.
- Responsible to perform carpentry work, painting, minor repairs, basic electrical work, and basic plumbing work.
- Responsible for responding to all emergency repair requests.
- Responsible for responding to all disaster warnings, watches, alarms, power failures, etc.
- Serve on the on-call maintenance rotation.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of Robeson Health Care Corporation and the patients/clients that the corporation serves.
