Position Summary: The Rehabilitation Specialist at Rosie's Recovery Center is responsible for providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders. This role involves creating and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans, conducting assessments, and delivering therapeutic interventions designed to promote recovery, independence, and community integration.
Key Responsibilities:

- Comprehensive Assessments:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and substance abuse history.
- Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, social, and vocational needs.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools to determine the level of care and appropriate interventions.
- Individualized Rehabilitation Planning:
- Develop personalized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with clients, based on assessment results.
- Set realistic and measurable goals aimed at improving clients' functional abilities and quality of life.
- Regularly review and update rehabilitation plans to reflect clients' progress and changing needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide individual counseling to help clients develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on skill-building and peer support.
- Conduct family therapy sessions to address family dynamics and support systems.
- Skill Development and Training:
- Offer social skills training to enhance clients' interactions with others.
- Provide training in daily living skills, such as personal care, household management, and budgeting.
- Teach vocational skills and support clients in job readiness and employment search.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Respond to clients in crisis, providing immediate support and intervention.
- Develop and implement crisis plans for clients at risk of relapse or deterioration.

- Case Management:
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, social services, and community resources.

- Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team, including psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and other specialists.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Provide consultation and support to other team members as needed.
- Continuous Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health and substance abuse rehabilitation.
- Attend continuing education and training programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new programs and services within the clinic.
- Community Outreach:
- Engage in community outreach activities to raise awareness about mental health and substance abuse services.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and referral sources.
- Participate in community events and initiatives to promote the clinic’s services and support clients’ reintegration into the community.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director to support the overall mission and goals of the clinic.

- Comprehensive Assessments:
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling).
- Licensure: Must be licensed or certified by the appropriate professional board (e.g., LCSW-C, LMSW, LGPC, LCPC, CFRP, CPRP).
- Experience: Minimum of two years of direct care experience working with individuals with serious mental health disorders or substance abuse issues.
- Skills:
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of community resources and support systems.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Work Environment:
