What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at RPS Protection LLC?
We are looking for reliable Armed and Unarmed Security Officers for the Detroit Metropolitan Area (including Plymouth, Novi, Waterford, and Ann Arbor). We have several locations that need to be staffed and candidates may work all of these locations. Ideal candidates should be detail oriented, observant, able to communicate effectively, and possess excellent customer service skills. Schedule is flexible but includes day shifts, afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Protect client’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Interact with client’s employees, vendors, and customers/guests in a professional manner
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Respond to medical emergencies
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Able to pass a background check
- Valid drivers license with good driving record (if site requires patrol vehicle)
- Valid Concealed Pistol License (to be eligible for the Armed sites)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.50 - $15.00 per hour
