Duties
Support and assist the doctor
The Optical Associate delivers and sets the standard of quality in eye care and eyewear by ensuring every patient and customer has the best experience. . Helps establish Clarity Vision as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. Creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering legendary customer service & perfectly crafted high-quality eyewear which exceeds our customers' expectations. Ensures customers are always happy and satisfied with their experience.
- Provide patients with exceptional customer service by understanding and assisting the patient's needs.
- Patient education about proper care and handling of contact lenses and glasses
- Process all Optical Lab Duties by the end of each day
- Placing, receiving and tracking glasses orders
- Taking eye and facial measurements to correctly interpret prescriptions
- Guiding patients when selecting frames for proper fit and styling
- Advising patients on any necessary repairs or adjustments
- Maintaining displays
- Greeting patients with a courteous and professional manner and welcome them to our office
- Answer multi-line phone
- Schedule patient appointments
- Pull insurance benefits and authorizations
- Collect copays
- Submit vision and medical claims
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Professional appearance
- Be detailed oriented
- Must have the ability to work efficiently
- Must be reliable in attendance
- EMR experience a plus
- Bilingual a plus
