RUDIS has designated a position in our IT Department for a System Administrator. This position is intended to support, troubleshoot, and maintain existing and expanding computer systems in a rapidly growing environment. It is considered an integral part of our IT department and would be an IT professional who would make sure the organization's computer systems are functioning and meet the ever-growing needs of the organization.
This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy. From early on, the systems administrator will empower breakthrough innovations, take on challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and resolve problems with internal applications and systems.
- Evaluate, select, plan, and implement upgrades and products into the RUDIS environment.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to the Service Desk in addition to daily activities.
- Monitor and tune global applications, systems, applications, and hardware.
- Maintain our existing and expanding fiber optic network at all points and locations.
- Create and maintain documentation for all applications and systems.
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
- Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative.
- Daily documentation of all moves, adds, changes within the department including implementation of new systems profiles.
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplace.
- Develop test scripts for change management and assist our Network Specialists
- Enable faster and smarter business processes and develop analytics for meaningful insights.
- Work with internal/external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
- Proven success in an IT role
- Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies.
- Responsible to design an enterprise backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Expertise in analyzing and repairing distributed systems; creating remote fixes and replication.
- Act as technical point of contact for our employees clients, addressing any concerns, queries, or issues that arise.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical clients clearly and effectively.
- Managing our internal expectations by setting realistic timelines and deliverables, updating them regularly on project progress, and escalating concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Regularly monitor and audit systems to guarantee their optimal performance.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and monitor progress constantly to manage risks and keep projects on track.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all projects, system issues, and their resolutions.
- Provide training to users and teams to ensure proper system utilization.
- Install, configure, and update tested software and hardware.
- Manage network equipment and technology tools. Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages.
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, firewalls, and policies.
- Develop expertise to train team on new technologies.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in IT
- Strong understanding of maintaining a ticket-based Service and Support concept
- Demonstrated experience with first, second, and third level support responsibilities.
- Proficient in Local and Wide Area networking technologies (developing) Server Networks, and Active Directory
- Experience with server and network performance monitoring software
- Must have experience in Messaging.
