CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced construction superintendent. We are looking for someone who has run heavy equipment on grading projects, trained others and delivered projects on time. This role will support most projects throughout Arizona.
What Skills should you have?
- Able to communicate and coordinate on-site earthmoving equipment (scrapers, excavators, dozers, etc)
- Identify obstacles and provide solutions
- Track daily quantities, CY of material moved, etc
- Able to train and evaluate new operators
- Able to communicate with project management staff
You should be very familiar with:
- Cut/fill earthwork operations on residential projects
- Reading and interpreting plan sets
- Reading and understanding soil reports and project specifications
- Dust Control requirements and best practices
This is a safety-sensitive position which requires operating company equipment and as such, you should be able to pass an MVR, drug screen, be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, sit, stand, kneel, walk in rough, uneven terrain and work in all weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
2 years experience in grading and earthwork construction, previous supervision experience, and the ability to travel to project locations throughout the Southwest United States. Preferred experience in residential grading projects.
