In this key role, the Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans and implements Occupational Therapy treatment in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Determines the plan of care and the prognosis, predicting the optimal level of improvement in function and the amount of time needed to reach that level
- Educates others (patients/ residents, family, caregivers, staff, students, other health care providers) using relevant and effective teaching methods
- Evaluates findings, considers current level of impairments and probability of prolonged impairment, functional limitations and disabilities
- Performs administrative tasks including documentation, billing and scheduling to support the patient, minimizes errors and maximizes quality
- Coordinates and collaborates with health care team to provide highest quality service possible.
- Provides skilled interventions, maximizing the patient s outcomes by successfully anticipating patient s response to care provided
Position Requirements:
- Must meet basic professional entry-level educational requirements from an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Licensed to work in the state of NJ.
- CPR certification.
- Computer literate.
- Successful completion of all required orientation programs.
