What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor position at RWJBarnabas Health?
Job Overview:
Supervises, coordinates and evaluates the system and personnel responsible for the performance of all routine and special procedures performed on blood and body fluids in the Hematology Lab. Consult with management and the Medical Director regarding compliance with regulatory standards and changes in procedures and policies. Participate in the administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure the efficient operation of the section.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in biology, immunology, microbiology, chemistry, or medical technology from an accredited institution
- Successful completion of all orientation programs
- Must have knowledge of specialized principles and techniques within the specialty of Hematology, through formal training and experience.
- Hold a certificate by a Category I Agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, HHS/HEW) or, Certification eligible.
Preferred:
- EPIC Experience
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Hold a certificate by a Category I Agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, HHS/HEW) or, Certification eligible.
