The Account Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding established corporate goals in regard to customer service, communication, accuracy and sales performance metrics. The Account Representative is a high-energy individual who will contact and qualify prospective customers while offering world-class service to current customers. This role will collaborate with Territory Sales Managers, Directors of Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure customer orders are filled timely and to the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Processes customer orders, make sales calls, and works to establish relationships with customers
- Maintain and grow their portfolio of transactional accounts with a focus on driving new business opportunities, capitalizing on current opportunities, producing monthly updates, and identifying areas to improve account revenues. Initiate, review, and follow up on open quotations with customers
- Respond and coordinate solutions to customer complaints and claims to ensure ongoing resolutions and customer satisfaction
- Continues to build territory account approach and monitor resources
- May assist in onboarding newer team members
- Work with different departments to execute account development plans
- Create sound, achievable, and measurable strategies for account development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 - 3 years sales experience preferred - including phone sales and customer service
- Understanding of the sales process and general business acumen
- Data/order entry skills - SAP experience required
- Sound multitasking and organizational abilities
- Previous metals work knowledge experience strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to display and impart a sense of urgency
- Good problem-solving skills - ability to employ creative thought processes to address challenges
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
