We are looking for Part-Time AM/PM Houseman.
Overview:
Our overall goal and purpose is to provide a consistent level of cleanliness and service that not only meets our guests’ needs but exceeds their expectations time and time again.
Job summary:
Responsible for assisting the housekeeper’s daily with removal of linens, garbage and trash from resort guestrooms. Responsible to clean all main hallways and assist laundry staff as required or needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Sweeping and mopping resort’s stairwells.
2. Responsible for placing CAUTION WET FLOOR SIGNS if required.
3. Vacuuming all corridors and keeping baseboards, ledges clean at all times.
4. Cleaning and stocking linen rooms.
5. Dusting and picking up all corridors.
6. Cleaning elevators.
7. Responsible for assisting housekeepers with:
a. Removing all garbage and trash left on counters, floors in trashcans, under the beds, on the patio, tables, desk, or nightstands.
b. Responsible for stripping all dirty linen, including sheets and pillow cases, from beds and removing linen to linen carts and returning to housekeeping.
c. Responsible for removal of dirty or used towels, soap and shampoo
8. Responsible for removing trash from housekeepers’ carts and disposing of trash in outside trash container.
9. Assisting housekeepers with lifting and moving of heavy objects including guest room furniture: tables, chairs, TV, nightstands, desks.
Requirements and qualifications:
No formal education required
Hotel Housekeeping experience preferred.
Must be able to communicate or understand directions in the English language.
Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
Must have strong guest service skills.
Must be able to report to housekeeping department and assigned work area promptly on scheduled shift.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel and walk.
Must be able to push housekeeping and laundry carts, which are up to 100 lbs.
Must be able to climb stairs.
Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Must be able to use cleaning equipment and supplies.
