We are seeking a highly motivated Data Management expert to join our National Intelligence Program to lead the lifecycle of data services from the start of ingestion to consumer delivery. The candidate will oversee the data ecosystem to include data services, infrastructure, and governance. The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently and effectively manage our data infrastructure and ensure that data flows smoothly across the organization and that the data lifecycle is managed in full compliance with customer data management standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and enforce policies for effective data management, forming an excellent control environment for data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle processes.
- Design and implement data strategies that support organizational goals, including the transition to cloud-based systems where appropriate.
- Oversee the management of all databases and data storage systems, both on-premises and in the cloud, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Lead the data services team to guarantee that data is easily accessible yet secure from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Monitor data management costs and develop budgetary plans, aligning them with the efficient use of data across the organization.
- Drive the adoption of the latest innovations in data processing and data analytics technologies.
- Create a disaster recovery and business continuity plan for critical data and oversee regular backup processes.
- Manage a team of data professionals, including database administrators, data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists.
- Coordinate with IT teams, service providers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data consistency and accessibility.
