Job Summary:
Provides coordinated health care services for individuals; and assures optimal health care services for the individuals in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the agency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse in the Developmentally Disabled Program will provide coordinated health care services for individuals in group homes; and will assure optimal health care services for the individuals in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the agency.
Education & Experience
Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. (Minimum ASN)
Three (3) years of experience working as a Registered Nurse and knowledge of developmental disabilities preferred. OR, two (2) years of experience working as an RN, PLUS, two years working in a developmental disabilities or mental health agency.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively. The employee is frequently required to stand, use mobility, handle or feel, and reach. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
