Your Role With Us:
As a Respiratory Care Supervisor with Salem Health, you will function as a competent Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide advanced respiratory care to patients of all ages (i.e., neonates, infants, pediatric patients, and adults). In addition, the Respiratory Supervisor assumes an active leadership role under the direction of the department manager, in the development of Respiratory Care Services. The Respiratory Supervisor ensures that all staff are competency verified and leads the process of continuing quality improvement.

Background/Expertise:
- Bachelor degree is preferred.
- Associate of Sciences - Successful completion of a minimum of 2 years of college education including Associate degree.
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory and/or lead experience in the field of Respiratory Care in a hospital setting required.
- 1 year of Critical care experience required, preferred current 2 or more years.
- Clinical Education experience preferred.
- Implementation of policies and procedures experience preferred.
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
- Basic Life Support required.
- Advanced Cardio Life Support required.
- Pediatric Adv Life Support required.
- Self-driven and Self-Starter preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to use professional judgment in emergency situations.
- Ability to hold in confidence any information regarding patients, personnel or any other confidential matters.
- Able to interact and influence people at all levels within the full scope of roles in the organization.
- Intermediate skills with software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, etc.
