Your Role With Us:
As part of a team hospitality oriented professionals, Solution Center Operators at Salem Health push forward a customer service mindset and communication focused resourcefulness that's utilized to provide assistance for patients, hospital staff and our community via our busy call center.
Core Functions:
- Processes switchboard activities through the communication systems in a pleasant, courteous, prompt, complete and accurate manner according to approved policies and procedures.
- Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium.
- Respond to customer inquiries, troubleshoot customer issues, and follow up on customer interactions. Monitors all alarm systems in call center/switchboard and notifies appropriate person or response team according to approved policies and procedures.
- Direct requests and unresolved issues to designated resources; Other tasks as assigned by Solution Center Leadership.

Background/Expertise:
- One (1) year of college level course work in hardware, software components, operating systems required; OR a minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience will be accepted in lieu of education.

Experience in one of the following areas required:
One (1) year contact center
One (1) year Helpdesk
One (1) year Customer Service - Ability to follow scripts and workflow diagrams required; Healthcare knowledge preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office Suite;Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Technical knowledge of personal computer operations, basic network operations and data communications set-ups.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volume, emergency staffing and scheduling.
- Must be able to function well under pressure.
