Your Role With Us:
You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of Salem Health building by monitoring, operating and maintaining building systems and general facility equipment. You will work under minimal supervision to perform a variety of minor to complex repairs, installations, modifications and preventive maintenance on equipment, the hospital's physical facilities, and properties as prescribed and assigned.
Core Functions:
- With limited supervision, performs a variety of minor and complex repairs, installations, and modifications to hospital equipment and buildings.
- Responds to and resolves emergency situations on systems and equipment
- Maintains repair and preventative maintenance history by accurately documenting maintenance and operational records in electronic maintenance management system.

Background/Expertise:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent OR a signed education agreement that employee will complete GED within 6 (six) months of date of hire.
- Minimum of four (4) years of building and equipment maintenance or equivalent experience required.
- Must possess a valid Oregon driver's license and maintain authorization according to Salem Health's Fleet Safety Program policy.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in hospital equipment, safety policies and emergency start-up/shutdown procedures; must be knowledgeable in the safe and proper use and operation of general maintenance equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
