The Radiation Therapist administers a precise radiation dose to patients under the direction of the radiation oncologist and radiation oncology manager. The radiation therapist designs and implements radiotherapy treatment plans for tumors or cancerous growth in patients. They also assess patient conditions to determine suitable dose of radiation.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology

Minimum Experience
-
Registered or Registry Eligible Radiation Therapist

One year Clinical Experience
-
-
Required Registration/License/Certification
-
Registered or registry eligible Radiologic Technologist RT(T)
-
Kansas License for Radiology Technology

Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment
