What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff RN Casual Float position at Samaritan Health?
Incentives: (Full-time time or Part-time)
· $5,000 sign on bonus with 2 year work commitment
· $5,000 loan forgiveness up to 4 years (May apply after the 1st year work anniversary)
· Relocation Assistance up to $10,000
Salary Range:
Days: $39.28-50.49
Evenings: $43.28-54.49
Nights: $44.48-55.69
All evening and night shifts include shift differentials.
The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Shift differentials have been included in the range. Pay is determined by factors including relevant experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.
Additional Highlights:
- On Call - $4.25 per hour
- Voluntary On Call - $2.75 per hour
- In Charge Differential - $2.50 per hour
- Preceptor Differential - $3.00 per hour
- Critical Care Float Pool - $3.75
- Longevity Differential Available
Responsibilities:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.
BLS required or obtained within 3 months. ACLS preferred. PALS within 3 months of hire. NRP preferred. IV certified within six months of employment. Must possess certifications required for the clinical practice assigned.
Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to and move patients in a safe manner.
Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
