Did you just complete your 1st year of Nursing School? We are growing our Nurse Technician team! If you are actively enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at an accredited school and have completed at least one academic term, which included a clinical component then this is a great opportunity for you! Summer orientation and onboarding is a great way to get started before next semester. Flexible work shifts once school resume!
As a Nurse Technician, you will be responsible for providing nursing care and support to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a defined care team and in accordance with the scope of practice. The nursing student in this position reports to the Nursing Department Director.
You may qualify for this position with the following credentialing and experience:
- Be a student in good standing and have completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component/or a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing awaiting results of licensing exam for Registered Nurse, but no longer than 30 days past graduation.
- Ability to provide documentation of current clinical competencies from completed Nursing School course work for each completed quarter of education as you progress towards your RN licensure.
- Apply for and become registered by the Washington State Department of Health as a Nursing Technician.
- Hold a current healthcare provider BLS certification.
This is an on-call, hospital-based, hourly position working variable shifts/days.
