What are the responsibilities and job description for the Representative, Inside Sales position at Samuel, Son & Co., Limited?
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and maintain a good work relationship with all regular and/or potential customers, allowing for the sharing of information and ideas, ultimately benefitting both Samuel, Son & Co., Ltd. and the customer.
- Write up all orders promptly as received, ensuring the accuracy of unloading instructions, processing tolerances, shipping destinations, etc.
- Communicate honestly with customers concerning delivery dates, machine capabilities, etc.
- Avoid having any aged inventory. If there aged inventory, work diligently to eliminate this problem
- Be part of a Sales Development Team that attempts to form partnerships with our major sales accounts.
- Continue to develop product knowledge, customer knowledge, sales skills and other important information to help the Inside Sales job.
- Actively seek new business from current customers and potential new customers through pro-active phone calls, faxes, and e-mails.
- Receive and respond to requests for quotation, actively utilizing any available resource or information to secure the business as a purchase order. Be persistent, motivated, and innovative. Recognize personal strengths and weaknesses and develop those areas that need work.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, experience, certifications, licenses or special skills):
University or College education with a major in Business Administration or marketing preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience), minimum 2 years sales experience or completion of the Inside Sales Trainee program, interaction and experience with customers, transportation to and from work and knowledge of operations in the metal industry.
