Description
The System Administrator provides IT support to Credit Union personnel. The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Provides expedient and courteous support to staff by analyzing and solving core system issues.
- Develops efficient methods for managing network systems to ensure functionality and security.
- Maintains and supports servers, physical and virtual environments.
- Controls and implements new servers and related softward.
- Maintains software and hardware patches, and ensures appropriate information security practices are followed
- Creates scripts to automate reporting and other processes, mainly Powershell.
- Maintains inventory of assets, support agreements, warranties, application software, and licensing agreements.
- Researches, diagnoses, and resolves problems within the network infrastructure.
- Establishes and follows system backup and disaster recovery plan
Other Items:
- This position will require some after hours work for systems that cannot be taken down during core business hours.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in computer information systems or similar technology certifications.
- Two years information systems operations experience with a focus in server administration, hardware installation and information security.
- CCT, CCENT, or higher Certification preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Office, MS Exchange, MS Hyper-V, and MS Active Directory. Knowledge of OpCon is a plus.
- General knowledge of credit unions or financial institutions is preferred.
