SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is now accepting resumes for Infant and Toddler Teachers and Assistant Teachers for the 2024-2025 school year in the Infant Toddler Center (8 weeks-24 months). We are seeking a passionate infant and toddler educators enhance the social, emotional, linguistic, cognitive, and physical development of each child. The school offers opportunities for exploration and discovery in a constructivist-based, educational environment. Each educator strives to nourish children's innate sense of wonder, curiosity, imagination and self-esteem.
We are looking for a full-time infant teacher who is passionate about high quality infant care. We are looking for someone who is committed to being a part of our community and supporting constructivist-based learning for the infants in their care. Our classrooms operate with teaching teams who are invested in working as a classroom community.
Responsibilities:
-Guiding infants and toddlers through education/development programs
-Design and provide meaningful experiences that promote growth and development
-Responding to each child’s needs efficiently
-Displaying a patient and calm personality coupled with a loving approach to every child
-Contributing positively to the behavior and social interaction of the children
-Building secure relationships with the children
-Working closely with the director and department head to ensure that guidelines are adhered to
-Keep a log through our app for children's day
Qualifications:
-Strong ability to build connections with children and to develop an atmosphere of mutual respect
-Problem-solving and collaborative skills
-Understanding of principles of social, emotional and cognitive development
-Creative, flexible and open-minded approach to teaching and care
-Background in Early Childhood current practice
-Familiarity with Jewish culture and traditions
-Be at least 21 years of age
-Hold an associates degree in early childhood, CDA, BA in an applicable field or experience and willing to obtain those degrees

Salary : $32,000 - $42,000
