What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Staff Nurse Med/Surg position at Sarah D Culbertson Memorial Hospital?
We are looking for a Registered Nurse that assumes responsibility for and participates in care of an assigned group of patients. Supervises care given by LPN's, CNA's and other RN's when assigned as charge nurse. As staff nurse, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
We are looking for 1 full time RN on Nights
Responsibilities
- Able to provide detailed and timely patient report for the continuation of care and planning at shift change and upon handoff of care
- Completes an accurate patient assessment upon admission, at beginning of scheduled shift, and ongoing as patient condition changes occur
- Creates an individualized plan of care for each patient based on patient diagnosis and condition, individualized patient and family learning needs, and progressive goals for an effective transition of care and disposition
- Continually monitors and updates individualized patient plan of care based on patient condition and needs
- Knowledgeable the physiological basis for care delivery based on patient condition and/or diagnosis and institutes nursing actions based on the medical plan of care and accurate patient assessment
- Knowledgeable of common lab and diagnostic test results and able to relate abnormalities to condition and care delivery
- Demonstrates proficiency in the initiation and/or management of peripherally IV’s and central lines.
Skills
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to acute care hospitals
- Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
- Demonstrate patience, tact, professionalism and enthusiasm
- Knowledge of blood borne pathogens, universal precautions, hazardous chemicals and fire and safety policies and procedures
- Valid nursing license

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
