What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician III position at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System?
The Pharmacy Technician III works under the direct supervision of registered pharmacists in accordance with Florida law, rules, and regulations. Responsible for assisting and supporting pharmacists in various aspects of the medication use process in a patient focused manner that supports and promotes medication safety, as well as responsibility for supporting the preparation and distribution of medications. In addition to the roles and responsibilities performed by Pharmacy Technician I's and II's, Pharmacy Technician III's participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives, assist with the training of team members, and serve as subject matter experts within the pharmacy department.
Required Qualifications:
- Require active registration as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern in the State of Florida.
- Require Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification.
- Require the ability to obtain a level 2 AHCA clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer recent comparable institutional practice experience as a pharmacy technician.
