Saratoga Center for the Family
Saratoga Center for the Family is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors and help guide our mission to prevent and treat child abuse, trauma, and family dysfunction while promoting the overall well-being of children and families throughout Saratoga County and the surrounding communities.
About Us
Saratoga Center for the Family is a nonprofit organization that provides mental health services, advocacy, and education to children and families. We are home to the Harriet M. West Child Advocacy Center and offer a wide range of services, including trauma-informed therapy, forensic interviewing, case management, and prevention programming.
Board Member Responsibilities
Serve as an ambassador for the Center in the community.
Attend and actively participate in board and committee meetings (virtually or in person).
Support and engage in fundraising initiatives, including attending events and assisting in donor cultivation.
Make a personally meaningful annual contribution and help secure other financial or in-kind resources.
Ideal Candidates Will Have
A strong commitment to the mission and values of Saratoga Center for the Family.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: nonprofit leadership, law, finance, education, fundraising, marketing/PR, mental health, child welfare, or lived experience in our areas of service.
Passionate about advocate for vulnerable children and families.
Interest in Board leadership opportunities.
Integrity, compassion, and collaborative spirit.
Term
Board terms are typically three years with the opportunity for renewal. New members are given orientation and ongoing support to contribute meaningfully to our work.
