What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Access Control Specialist position at Saratoga Hospital?
Summary of Position: Assumes responsibility for providing a safe and secure atmosphere for patrons and employees of the organization utilizing the Visitor Management System at the designated Access Control Point.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the hospital’s Visitor Management System at the assigned Access Control Point.
- Provides wayfinding for patrons as required.
- Notifies the Campus Access Control Coordinator when the Visitor Management System requires supplies or experiences any issues outside normal operating parameters.
- Assist with parking visitors/patient’s vehicle for those with mobility issues or other needs. Patrols front loop and triage loop to maintain safety and ensure parking compliance.
- Notifies Public Safety for assistance with disorderly persons or other security concerns if required.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 6 months experience in a customer service position preferred. Maintains yearly wheelchair competencies. Current New York State Security Guard License. A valid, clean NYS driver's license is required. Must be able to obtain approval to drive under Saratoga Hospital's auto insurance. Must be 21 years of age.
