What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research and Development Scientist position at SarTec Corporation?
We are looking to hire a research Chemist or Chemical Engineer at our Anoka location. You will be working on research and development projects in renewable energy and agricultural technology. You will also be operating laboratory equipment to analyze samples and to conduct research experiments, reporting your findings to a laboratory manager.
The most common research techniques employed include small-scale biofuels reactor operation, GCMS, IR and NMR.
Salary is based on experience.
Specific Duties:
- Lab testing of raw materials used in SarTec products.
- Small scale bio-fuel reactor operation.
- Research and development on renewable fuels.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of all lab products.
- Maintain a lab notebook and production records, including daily reporting of activities.
- Proper handling and management of chemicals and waste disposal.
Education and Experience Required:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry is required. Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills are required. Undergraduate research experience is preferred.
