Position Overview:
The Vice President of Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) and Service Implementations is a key Senior Leadership role responsible for driving strategic alignment, governance, and execution of enterprise-wide programs and projects and implementing Savista’s services for new and existing Clients. As a Senior Leader, the VP of EPMO will oversee the EPMO's operations and Client Service Implementations, ensuring projects and implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maximizing value for the organization.
Job Purpose:
The VP of EPMO and Service Implementations will lead two critical functions within Savista:
EPMO: the VP will work closely with the Execute Leadership Team to align projects with organizational goals, select and prioritize those projects, optimize resource utilization, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence in project management. Additionally, the role focuses on fostering collaboration among stakeholders, enhancing operational excellence, and building a culture of continuous improvement in program and project management practices.
Service Implementations: the VP is accountable for the successful implementation of new and existing clients for Savista’s revenue cycle service solutions. Our solutions assist healthcare providers in disciplines from Patient Access to comprehensive A/R Management. The VP will lead a team responsible for the successful implementation of complex programs driving the end-to-end revenue cycle transformation for the client’s healthcare provider operations. The VP must ensure the delivery of a high-quality service implementation including on-boarding, process transformation services, and exceptional client satisfaction through escalation management, proactive communications, and close monitoring of issues/risks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide consistent positive experience for all client resources, focusing on client-centric best practices and relationship management.
Drive projects in a matrixed management environment that includes influencing, efficiency, collaboration, candor and openness with a focus on results orientation and client satisfaction while ensuring Savista operates as a unified solution provider.
Define and implement policies and procedures for project and program management roles and responsibilities with respect to scope management, plan management, risk/issue management, change management, and project cost forecasting. Ensure adherence by the team to policies and procedures.
Influence and establish meaningful relationships with client Project Managers, Sales/Commercial teams and Revenue Cycle Managers/Directors/Vice Presidents/Senior Executive Management (C-suite) through competent leadership and exceptional communications related to the implementation.
Provide implementation program status reporting and governance meetings, both internally and externally.
Provide project reporting across all projects, Monthly Business Review, Quarterly Business Review documentation and metrics
Identify, monitor, alert and mitigate issues and risks that may impact program quality related to schedule, cost and scope.
Manage large-scale transformations within multi-project/program-level efforts that span client stakeholders, internal senior leadership, partners/vendors and other influencers.
Provide excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organization skills.
Own issue identification and facilitation of appropriate resources necessary to resolve issues timely; ability to effectively resolve and escalate issues through the organization to resolution.
Takes an active leadership role in the development, implementation, and execution of internal processes and procedures, including usage of segment-wide standard implementation tools and templates.
Manage direct reporting staff (day-to-day management, professional development, performance review, recruitment, retention, employee engagement scores, or other staff management responsibilities.)
Understand Revenue Cycle processes, requirements and best practices, including Enrollment, Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Registration, Admitting, Financial Counseling, Charge Master, Coding, Charge Capture, Billing, Collections, Bad Debt, Payment Processing, Denial Management, Revenue Recognition and Accounts Receivable Finance Operations preferred.
Remain knowledgeable of changes in information technology, healthcare, and revenue cycle management.
Define and implement processes to continuously improve project success.
Minimum Requirements & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred.
10 years of experience leading large, complex, multi-project programs with proven leadership experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Project management and process improvement experience.
Ability to organize and manage resources and establish priorities in a fast-paced services environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively present information externally and internally to top management, key executives, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages.
Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as detail-oriented.
Ability to review and understand statements of work and contracts.
Able to prioritize workload and work effectively with minimal supervision; demonstrated ability to work concurrently on multiple projects in a matrix setting.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
Highly skilled in the use of software applications including Smartsheet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience partnering with C-level leadership.
Preferred Requirements & Competencies:
Experience in large (more than 10 facilities) healthcare provider revenue cycle operations, accounting or finance, either directly or through consulting engagements.
PMP certification, PMP studies and/or Business Excellence/Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
Travel
5%, occasional travel to Alpharetta, GA (Atlanta) and Client Sites
Note: Savista is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $165,000 to $190,000. However, specific compensation for the role will vary within the above range based on many factors including but not limited to geographic location, candidate experience, applicable certifications, and skills.
