Advanced Contemporary brand is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the product manufacturing processes. Our company creates four seasonal collections (Spring/Summer, Pre-Fall, Fall/Winter, Resort), which we sell on our website and wholesale to over 120 multi-brand retailers in the US and internationally. Some of our biggest retailers include Net-A-Porter, Bergdorf Goodman, and Shopbop. Looking for someone interested in, and has experience with high-quality, artisanal, handmade garment making, as well as environmentally friendly production practices and fabrics. The ideal candidate works very independently and proactively to improve and grow their area, and is a highly organized, creative problem solver who can lead a team through guidance and organization, keeping them on schedule, and driving high-performance output. Experience in similar positions and with well-respected brands is essential.

- 3 days/Week in Brooklyn (but flexible when no in office mtgs!)
- Reports into CEO/Co-Founder
- Works daily with Founder/Creative Director, Development Manager, and Design team
- Works closely with team of 5 in Delhi India (production, development, QA), led by India based Production Manager
- No direct reports
- Works closely with Production, Development, QA team of 5 in Delhi India (overseen by the India based Production Manager) and Marketing team
- Each collection produces about 80 - 100 SKUs - a total of 4,500 to 6,000 pieces per collection.
- Production in India, Spain, Italy, Peru, and locally in New York.
- Responsibilities:
- Set and execute strategic direction for fabric sourcing and production
- Make visits to international producers and fabric makers
- Ensure that production aligns with the company's quality and environmental goals
- Oversee the production schedule and set structures to ensure deadlines are met, and the company ships within the shipping windows agreed upon with retailers and showrooms
- Work closely with the design team, holding weekly fittings to ensure garment fit and seamless communication from sampling to production teams
- Oversee production logistics working closely with Bergen Logistics warehouse, company showroom and European distributor to ensure quality and on-time delivery to our retail customers.
Salary : $90,000
