Position Summary:
The Default Title Specialist is responsible for facilitating order and fulfillment of various default title products. In this role you will collaborate with clients, vendors, title companies, and internal departments to ensure timely processing of orders and maintain client service level standards.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Review title search products for quality and accuracy. Review is inclusive of, but not limited to, vesting, liens & encumbrances, legal descriptions, taxes, etc.
- Investigate/research/resolve issues with the title search package in preparation for client delivery.
- Work with outsource partners to prepare and QC title search packages to be delivered to customers.
- Make changes to title search packages upon client request.
- Submit invoices for services rendered to clients.
- Assists with other default title matters as needed.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- 1-3 years of title/mortgage/curative or financial company experience.
- 1 years of Curative/REO/Foreclosure/Purchase Title experience preferred.
- Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external customers.
- Detail oriented
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook
