Assistant Credit Manager
Reports to Store Manager and Credit Manager
SUMMARY:
The function of the Credit Office Assistant is to assist the Credit Manager with clerical duties and the collection of delinquent accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the mailing of first and second past due notices
- Monitor the posting of late charges
- Open mail payments, run tape on payments, and give to cashier for posting
- Assist the Credit Manager with address corrections on charge customers
- Pull contracts and type warrants as required by Credit Manager
- Assist with running credit reports and present reports to Credit Manager for approval
- Phone one- and two-month delinquents as assigned by Credit Manager. This assignment means calling accounts during store
hours as well as after the store closes, as needed
- Work credit terms, as needed, during high impact sales
- Tale customer payments as needed

Other duties may be assigned by the Store Manager or Credit Manager.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to read and understand simple instructions and reports. Computer, typing and business machines experience.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, reach with hand and arms.
Must be able to lift 20 and do so while reaching.
