What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker position at SCHOHARIE COUNTY CHILD DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, INC.?
Assists in the Food Service Department with general kitchen duties; preparation and serving of all meals, as well as cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen space and equipment in a preschool facility.
Ensure proper handling and storage of food according to Department of Health and USDA CACFP Guidelines.
Accommodate special diets and allergy plans. Diligently implement all policies and procedures, to include the use of allergy sticker labels to protect children with allergies.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment that meets the safety and sanitation requirements of the Department of Health. Complete daily and weekly cleaning and sanitizing responsibilities to include food preparation areas, food carts, stove tops, small appliances, refrigerators, and freezers. Responsible for daily dishwashing and garbage disposal.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year experience in food service related field. ServSafe Handler Certification preferred.
All SCCDC positions require three (3) written Letters of Reference, OCFS Clearance, Physical with Tuberculosis test, and a valid NYS Driver's License.
