Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Romeoville, Illinois
Pay Range: $40 - $50 per hour (depending on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Romeoville, IL. This role requires an educator with a valid LBS1 certification and proven experience developing and implementing IEPs. You will be responsible for delivering individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address students' unique learning needs and goals.
- Provide direct instruction to students with various disabilities in both individual and group settings.
- Continuously assess student progress and adjust instruction to support growth and achievement.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to support inclusive practices and classroom accommodations.
- Maintain open and ongoing communication with families regarding student progress and IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team planning.
- Maintain compliance with all IDEA regulations and school district policies related to special education.
- Keep accurate documentation of student attendance, behavior, and progress toward IEP objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid LBS1 Certification issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Experience with IEP writing and implementation is required
- Previous experience teaching or supporting K–12 students with disabilities preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A team-oriented mindset with a passion for inclusive education
